As winter weather hits Wisconsin, many children can't afford a proper coat. Getting kids dressed for school won’t be easy for every family when colder weather comes.

To make sure every child has a warm coat this winter, the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association is teaming up with the Salvation Army for the annual Coats for Kids collection drive.

Monday, September 30, through Friday, November 1, we will be collecting new or gently used coats for toddlers, kids and teens. Mittens, boots, and hats are needed, too.

If your auction company would like to be a drop off location and help promote the coat drive, please let us know so we can include your company name and location on the advertising and promotional material for “Auctioneers with a Heart”.

Please let us know by Saturday if you would like to participate so we can get the promotional materials done before the 30th.

Our goal is to collect at least 100 coats, as a group, this first year.

Please email us at
info@wisconsinauctioneers.org if you would like to participate.

We will be coordinating more “Auctioneers with a Heart” events in the future.
